Beltway Merch was created in 2009 (then know as Froggy Pants Creations) after Owner/Designer/Maker Angela Lacey was laid off from her photography job. With camera phones and technology evolving and more affordable, and after 18 years in the portrait photography industry, it was time to find another means to support her family. The original items were handmade for her children to save money. After discovering that this might be her new talent, she took part in the refresher sewing class.

 

April 2009 was the first event where she sold her handmade belts, jewelry, and hair accessories. Then, she opened an online store with her children as models. Over the years, items have continued to evolve, including scarves, keychains, pet collars & leashes, but they are still all handmade!

 

As of 2013, all ribbons and fabrics are made from Angela's exclusive designs (except the flag patterns). This ensued the name change to Beltway Merch which reflected the new business image. The design process is multi-layered, and many designs start with Angela's photographs or drawings. To date, she has over 150 designs! Check back often, she is constantly working on new designs.
